Worcestershire Ambassadors Trade Mission to China October 2012In 2012 Phil Dutton lead the first Worcestershire Ambassadors Trade Mission out to China visiting the cities of Guangzhou, Nanning and Hezhou. The cities were selected as 3 Graduates from University of Worcester had achieved high ranking positions in local government. Guangzhou already had close links with Birmingham and Bristol and had little synergies with Worcestershire. The location identified as having the greatest opportunity for trade was the city of Hezhou. University Graduate Grace Pan Ming had achieved the position of Vice Mayor. Her time in Worcestershire was the happiest of her life and she was keen to develop formal links between Hezhou and the County.
